Christian Bautista inspired by a fan he met recently, "My purpose renewed. My passion reignited."

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista paid tribute to teachers and staff of Gabay Guro.

In a photo opportunity during the event, the singer-actor met a volunteer, who told him how his music has such a great influence on her life.

Why do we sing? Is it only an expression of an emotion? Is it only for a career? Is it to convey a message ? Is it only to showcase a talent? Can it possibly possibly help change a life? As i was leaving the Gabay Guro event, i had an opportunity to take a photo with a volunteer for the event. She said she watched a concert of mine a few years back. She said she had cancer then also that i might not recognize her cause she was balding then because of the treatment. She also said she was inspired by the concert, especially to the songs i dedicated to my mom when my mom was going through the same ordeal. It gave her strength. She happily told me she Is now cancer free, that her hair is full and lovely and that it was great to see me sing for her and all of the teachers and staff that was there today. She was so full of joy.The past hurts did not matter. She looks toward a brighter future to continue to love and serve. My heart is full. My purpose renewed. My passion reignited. #thankful #gabayguro

In a lengthy Instagram post, Christian wrote about the encounter, “She said she watched a concert of mine a few years back.

“She said she had cancer then also that I might not recognize her cause she was balding then because of the treatment.

“She also said she was inspired by the concert, especially the songs I dedicated to my mom when my mom was going through the same ordeal. It gave her strength.”

The volunteer is now cancer free, Christian said in his post.

He further related, “That her hair is full and lovely and that it was great to see me sing for her and all of the teachers and staff that [were] there today.

“She was so full of joy. The past hurts did not matter.

“She looks toward a brighter future to continue to love and serve.”

According to Christian, this kind of moment gave so much meaning to him as a singer, “My heart is full. My purpose renewed. My passion reignited.”
