This is how Preview shot their cover without Alden and Maine meeting at the set.

How do you bring together two people for a photo shoot who cannot meet?
This was one of the biggest challenges Preview magazine faced in their ambitious pursuit to feature the country’s hottest love team, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza for their November cover.
“Producing this cover shoot was both challenging and exciting at the same time. The energy was palpable at the shoot and we all came out with greater admiration for Maine, Alden and the AlDub story,” Isha Vallés, Executive Editor of Preview magazine stated in their press release.
So, how did they do it?
1. Perfect planning
It took the people behind Preview a month and a half to set a final date for AlDub’s photo shoot as the two actors are busy with commercial and movie engagements.
2. Hottest design for the hottest couple
Preview’s Creative Director Vince Uy had wardrobe from Gucci’s Cruise 2016 collection flown in specially for the pictorial.
3. Stand-in talents
Since the photo shoot took place months before ‘tamang panahon’ and the two were forbidden to meet, Preview tapped stand-in talents for the AlDub couple. Preview’s Editorial Assistant Yanna Lopez was Maine’s stand-in talent during Alden’s shoot, while the magazine’s Associate Art Director Eugene David was Alden’s stand-in talent during Maine’s pictorial.
4. Meticulous post-production
The magazine’s art team mastered their photo editing skills to put together a seamless photo of Alden and Maine on their cover.
