In August, family and friends will commemorate the first death anniversary of the award-winning actress Cherie Gil.
Former Sahaya actress Mylene Dizon was feeling a bit sentimental when she posted on her Instagram page a throwback photo with her good friend and late showbiz icon Cherie Gil.
The multi-awarded actress dubbed as the “La Primera Contravida” died at the age of 59 in August 2022.
In her post, one could see a smiling photo of Cherie with Mylene and Kapamilya actress Agot Isidro.
In an interview with the “King of Talk” Boy Abunda in 2018, Cherie shared how she got close with Agot and Mylene. The late actress explained to Tito Boy, “Siguro nag-umpisa 'yan nu'ng nagkahiwalayan na kaming lahat, nag-attract-an kami, mga lonely hearts club kami. So we've decided, let's be travel buddies! So, it started with Bukidnon where I normally go. Often go, that's my hideaway.”
“So that time my cousin was there, set up a Bed & Breakfast, and we were all looking for a place to hang out and we all end up you know meeting up there and from that time on we became, what they named us the 'KP Group,' which is the kontrabida package.”
