She uploaded the Department of Tourism's (DOT) “We Heal As One” uplifting video on her Instagram account along with her heartfelt message for the healthcare personnel, military, food vendors, and other people who lay their lives on the line to fight this war.

“Naiiyak ako while watching this video. Truly a salute to all the frontliners around the world who put their lives on the line to save others,” she said.

Myrtle also shared that her auntie serves a frontliner, too.

“The other day my Tita who works as a frontliner just told us that she hasn't been feeling well and we're really worried about her,” she related.

Myrtle likewise encouraged the public to pray for everyone's safety.

“And I know each of us has a family, a friend or a relative who is working hard right now to save the world. Let'a pray for them and show them our love,” she added.

DOT's “We Heal As One” was was composed by national artist for music Ryan Cayabyab, written by award-winning writer Floy Quintos, and dedicated to our frontliners against COVID-19.

Prior to this, Myrtle has raised funds as part of the continuing efforts against the coronavirus disease.

She partnered with Facebook and used its game streaming service where viewers can send "stars" which can be converted to money.

The proceeds of her donation drive went to the GMA Kapuso Foundation's relief efforts.

Indeed, there is no other way to rise above and defeat COVID-19 other than by working together.

As of April 13, Department of Health (DOH) recorded a total number of 4,932 cases of COVID-19 with 242 recoveries and 315 deaths.
