The couple recently revealed that while they share the same values in many aspects of life, they have different views when it comes to having children.

Nadine Lustre and Christophe Bariou are on the same page about many things, but the couple admitted there is one topic where they still have different views.

During an interview with broadcast journalist Karen Davila, Nadine and Christophe candidly spoke about the biggest challenge they have faced in their relationship, including differing opinions about having children.

According to Nadine, the conversation about starting a family remains something they have yet to fully agree on.

"It's definitely not for right now," she said. "But I would say that's something that we're not aligned with because he wants kids right now. I'm... I don't know if I want kids. So, we're very different in that challenge."

Christophe explained that he understands where Nadine is coming from.

"I know what she feels about it. It's like she doesn't want all the changes and everything in her body especially those things," he said.

While he hopes to become a father someday, Christophe clarified that he is also not in a rush.

"It's just something also I don't want right now anyway. But I feel like maybe in a couple years... even if it has to be adoption or something... there are a lot of options later on."

He also shared that because of his previous cancer treatment in France, his sperm had been preserved before he underwent chemotherapy.

"Actually, my stuff is frozen in Paris because of cancer. They do it automatically."

Earlier in the interview, Christophe reflected on one of the toughest chapters of his life, revealing that he had been diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma before meeting Nadine.

"When I met Nadine, I was coming back from those six months of chemotherapy," he recalled. "I was still recovering... the first two years were the toughest."

The Filipino-French entrepreneur admitted there was a time when he believed he would not survive.

"I was 100% sure I was not going to make it."

"I was led to believe that I was going to die within the next weeks. So I went through all these emotions...deep fear, rage, injustice. I kept asking, 'Why does it happen to me?'"

Christophe said overcoming the illness eventually changed the way he viewed life and inspired him to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

For Nadine, Christophe's diagnosis never changed how she saw him.

"I didn't even think of that at all because I could see that he was full of life. He was so energetic, adventurous."

She added that she no longer worries about his health after doctors confirmed that he had recovered.

"I do believe that he's fine now. The doctors did say that he's all clear, which is something that I'm really proud of with him."

Despite their differences, the couple agreed that they remain deeply connected because they share the same values and outlook on life.

Christophe described Nadine as his "perfect partner in crime."

"I don't think that love is looking each other in the eyes. It's looking in the same direction. We're looking in the same direction... We're aligned on pretty much anything."

Nadine, meanwhile, summed up their relationship in one word: "Selfless."
