
South Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk has officially been confirmed to headline the upcoming romance drama Heartbeat (literal title), with actress Han So-hee currently in discussions to star alongside him.
Following the confirmation of Nam Joo-hyuk's casting, Korean media outlet MyDaily reported that Han So-hee had received an offer to play the female lead. Her agency, 9ato Entertainment, later addressed the report, saying, "She received an offer to star in Heartbeat, and she is positively in talks."
If Han So-hee accepts the role, Heartbeat will mark the first drama pairing between the two stars. The series is also generating buzz as it is penned by the writer of the hit romance drama Lovely Runner.
Nam Joo-hyuk recently wrapped filming for The East Palace. He is known for his roles in Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Start-Up, Vigilante, and The Light in Your Eyes, among other projects.
Meanwhile, Han So-hee is also reviewing an offer to star in the live action adaptation of Solo Leveling and is preparing for the release of the Korean adaptation of The Intern. She is known for her performances in Gyeongseong Creature, My Name, Nevertheless, The World of the Married, and more.
Additional details about Heartbeat, including its premiere date and final cast lineup, have yet to be announced.
