October 12 was a fateful day for Nar Cabico as a singer as he did not only debuted his first single "Gaga" on that day, but he also played substitute for Moy Ortiz in the performance of The CompanY.

Nar shared at his press conference today, October 13, that Moy had to undergo a surgery and so he was chosen to pinch-hit for him.

 

Iba Ka, Lord! Today, aside from the release of Gaga, I'm doing my first show with the Asia's Premiere Vocal Group, The CompanY!!!!! I am living the dream!!!! Wouldn't want to be anywhere else ?????????????? Thank you, my idols, for the very warm welcome. ???? So tired but I have never felt this alive. ???? Dreams can truly come true. And in some very rare moments, they can all happen in one day ????

“’Yung years of rehearsals nila, I had to squeeze in 10 days. I learned Bacharach Medley. I learned Bohemian Rhapsody na hindi ‘yung typical kasi syempre, the CompanY sila, Asia’s premiere vocal group. Ang dami kong inaral and si Sir Moy ‘yung track na ginawa ko. Kailangan ko ng Waze sa lalamunan para hindi ako maligaw. But I’m very happy because they were so happy. They felt solid,” he said.

The Kapuso talent is also thrilled that The CompanY granted his invitation to sing his new single.

He gushed, “It’s amazing ‘coz pumayag sila to sing "Gaga." They’re also excited to do it. Sabi ko, ‘Oh my God, The CompanY singing this with me!’ So ako ngayon ginagawa ko ‘yung arrangement ng "Gaga," knowing that the musical skills, ang CompanY ang gagawa. ‘Sige po, papahirapan ko po kayo, mga idols.’”

Nar will be performing with the vocal group for the whole month of October while Moy recuperates, and he finds serendipity in this opportunity.

“’Ni-claim ko na ‘I want to make something like The CompanY pero bagets tapos biglang I’m joining them all of a sudden. And full circle siya because three years ago, nag-front act ako sa kanila. Now, hearing them giving all those words of affirmation in this very scary industry... importante siya, mahalaga siya for me para ‘yung stamina ko will last kung ano man ‘yung kaya kong ma-achieve,” he related.
