Barangay Love Stories

The TV adaptation builds on the program's legacy as the Philippines' #1 FM radio show and #1 podcast, bringing to life the stories and emotions audiences have imagined for years.

For 17 years, Barangay Love Stories has captured the hearts of millions of Filipinos with its moving stories of love, heartbreak, hope, and second chances on GMA's flagship FM radio station, Barangay LS 97.1. Now, the beloved radio drama and podcast hosted by Papa Dudut takes its biggest leap yet - from the airwaves to television.

Beginning September 12, Barangay Love Stories comes to GMA 7, bringing its well-loved stories to life through a visually compelling and emotionally resonant drama format that blends the intimacy of radio storytelling with the power of television.

With the tagline “Nasa TV na ang forever,” the TV adaptation builds on the program's legacy as the Philippines' #1 FM radio show and #1 podcast, bringing to life the stories and emotions audiences have imagined for years.

The move to television adds a new dimension to the storytelling experience, allowing audiences to see the smiles, tears, and emotions that they once only imagined through sound effects and narration.

“Yung dating sound effects lang to imagine the drama scenes, ngayon may kulay na, may ngiti na, may luha na na makikita ninyo sa TV,” Papa Dudut shares.

More than an adaptation, Barangay Love Stories on television brings to life the stories that have resonated with Filipinos for nearly two decades, while introducing them to a new generation of audiences.

Viewers should also watch out for the featured artists who will bring kilig and romance to the first three episodes of Barangay Love Stories. Episode 1 will feature Shuvee Etrata and Anthony Constantino, followed by Sofia Pablo and Iñigo Jose in Episode 2, and Ashley Sarmiento and Rave Victoria in Episode 3.

Nasa TV na ang forever. Catch Barangay Love Stories beginning September 12, every Saturday at 4 p.m. on GMA.
