On their wedding anniversary, Nash Aguas opened up about the painful breakup he experienced with Mika Dela Cruz two years ago. Now, they are happily married and celebrated their first anniversary as husband and wife.

Mika uploaded a vlog of their anniversary trip to Kyoto, Japan, with her husband, Nash. Nash, on the other hand, uploaded photos and heartfelt messages expressing his love and commitment to Mika.

In his post, he reflected on the breakup they had before getting married in 2024. Nash wrote, "I still remember the night we broke up 2 years ago. No one knew, just us and God. It was the most painful thing and I didn't understand why. He said, “Trust me.” and I did."

He explained what he observed in Mika after their breakup.

"After months, I saw a video of you testifying how you met Jesus. I remember seeing your smile, it was so peaceful, so pure, so full of joy. The kind of joy I've been trying so hard to give you, but didn't get to see during our relationship. That's when I prayed “Lord, thank you for making her happy and allowing me to see it, even from a far.”

Nash added, "I really thought that was my purpose in your life, to lead you to Jesus. But He had other plans, and it's always more than what you ask, think or imagine. Now, I get to see that smile everyday. That smile that brings warmth and comfort to people. You bring joy in every room you walk into. You make people feel seen and heard. You are a reminder to me of God's Faithfulness. Thank you."

At the end of his post, he declared his love for Mika, "I will always love you the way He loved me. Happy Anniversary, aking Asawa. @mikadlacruz"
