Hampasan na! The NCAA women's volleyball tournament is back.
The women's volleyball tournament of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 101 has officially started on Friday, January 23.
The tournament kicked off at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila with a performance from Sparkle star Thea Astley.
The ceremony was followed by exciting back-to-back games from the Benilde Lady Blazers and the Mapua Lady Cardinals at 12 noon and the Letran Lady Knights and Arellano Lady Chiefs at 2:30 p.m.
The defending champions, Benilde Lady Blazers, took the first game after a five-set thriller against the Mapua Lady Cardinals.
Meanwhile, the Letran Lady Knights swept the Arellano Lady Chiefs in the second game of the day.
The court action continues on Sunday, January 25, with the Perpetual Lady Altas facing the Benilde Lady Blazers at 12 noon and the EAC Lady Generals battling it out with the Letran Lady Knights at 2:30 p.m.
