The American R&B singer won multiple Grammy awards. He won in 2008 for Best Male R&B Vocal performance and Best R&B Song for 'Miss Independent'. The year before, he bagged the award for Best Contemporary R&B Album.

Meanwhile, former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland also performed in the event. She sang her chart topping single ‘Dilemma’.

Several local celebrities and socialite were also spotted during the grand unveiling of the casino. Present in the event were Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, R&B princess Kyla, power belter Jed Madela, Filipino designer Rajo Laurel and Tessa Prieto-Valdez.
