Ex-StarStruck Avenger Alvin Aragon was recently caught in controversy after giving remarks about why former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona left the iconic girl group, and about Izzy's firstborn, Sofia Trazona, who publicly commented on her sexual orientation.

In a recent radio interview with DWAR Abante Radyo, Alvin responded to criticisms suggesting he was the sole reason why Izzy left the group.

"Sinasabi nila, 'Kaya pala wala sa SexBomb si Izzy dahil sa lalaking 'yan, eh.' Teka lang, ha! Matagal nang wala si Izzy sa SexBomb, 2009 pa lang. Hindi pa nga ako yung asawa, eh," he said.

“Sino ang nagpa-resign kay Izzy sa SexBomb? Ang Panginoon, noong naging Christian si Izzy. Pinag-resign ng Lord," he added.

He also admitted that at first, he found it difficult to see people looking at Izzy during concerts if she wore revealing clothes.

On another topic, Alvin shared his thoughts about homosexuality, specifically mentioning Sofia, who is a trans woman and Izzy's child with former partner Michael Navarro.

“Ang daming bash ni Izzy; doon pa lang sa anak niya naging... pinili ang direksyong maging bading, ang dami nang bash, eh. Hindi raw tinanggap kasi bading," he said.

He continued, "Totoo naman, eh. Ano ba sabi sa Bible? God judged the homosexuality. Read the Genesis 17, 18, and 19. Those men in Sodom and Gomorrah wants to have sex with other men. And God judged that Sodom and Gomorrah even until now."

Saying that as a parent with good intentions, he added that he would warn Sofia that she could be in danger because of her decision to transition.

"Ang mabuting magulang, sasabihin mo sa anak mo kung ano 'yung 'wag mong gawin... kasi mapapahamak ka diyan 'pag ginawa mo. God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality, mamuhay ka, and you don't want to believe in Jesus. I assure you God will throw you to hell if you don't stop, if you don't repent and believe in the gospel," he added.

Sofia publicly came out as transgender in January 2025.
