Members of NewJeans have just hopped onto Instagram with a new account!
NewJeans, composed of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, created the account on Saturday, December 14, using the username "jeansforfree."
In their first post, the five-member K-pop group shared a white background featuring five bunny emojis to represent their fandom's name.
"A little treat for you bunnies and K-pop fans," the girls wrote.
In the caption, NewJeans mentioned that they arranged pre-paid meals at different restaurants and cafes.
Reports suggest that the treat is for K-pop fans carrying a light stick who participated in the impeachment protest against South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.
NewJeans confirmed they would manage the new account in their Instagram stories. The five members have also been sharing their photos on the new account.
Meanwhile, their Instagram account, managed by ADOR, remains active.
The new Instagram account was launched after the members revealed in November that they had decided to leave ADOR due to claims of mistreatment and the agency's failure to address an alleged breach of contract.
NewJeans made their debut in 2022 with the song "Attention." Other popular tracks include "Super Shy," "Ditto," and "OMG."
