Park Bo-gum is rumored to be taking on a lead role for an upcoming criminal-action drama titled Good Boy (working title).
On July 15, media outlet reports stated the South Korean actor has been offered a role for the K-drama written by Lee Dae-il of Life on Mars and directed by Shim Na-yeon of The Good Bad Mother.
Good Boy tells the story of international sports competition winners from various categories who are specially recruited by the government to serve in the police force. The athletes-turned-police-officers are trained to catch thieves and other criminals.
Park Bo-gum is allegedly in talks to take on the role of Yoon Dong-joo--a former boxer currently assigned to a special division.
Recently, Park Bo-gum trended online with actress and singer IU for their participation in the revived "Ice Bucket Challenge" which first surfaced in 2014.
Park Bo-gum and IU joined the trend to celebrate South Korea's first hospital for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) patients.
The two stars are currently working together for the upcoming drama Thank You for Your Hard Work.
The story follows Ae-soon (IU) and Gwan-shi (Bo Gum), who were born on Jeju Island in the 1950s.
