BTS's Jungkook breaks records with solo single 'Seven'

Jungkook of the global group BTS recently released his solo single, “Seven,” featuring American rapper Latto and the summer bop has already set numerous records.

An article by Soompi reported that the main vocalist's newest song topped music charts like the Top 100 of Melon and the realtime charts of Bugs and Genie, shortly after it was released.

At the morning of July 15, “Seven” clinched the No. 1 spot in at least 106 regions of the iTunes Top Songs charts, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, and Japan, according to Soompi.

In another article, Soompi said Jungkook is the first male artist from any country to get 15 million first-day streams with a new track on Spotify. He is second overall after Taylor Swift.

Jungkook dropped “Seven” last July 14, along with an official music video, which stars Korean star Han So-Hee.

The video has garnered more than 62 million views on YouTube, three days after it was released.

“Seven” has clean and explicit versions.

Jungkook is the voice behind the official 2022 FIFA World Cup song, “Dreamers.” He also collaborated with Charlie Puth for “Left and Right.”

The “golden maknae” previously released on streaming platforms his self-composed songs, “Still With You” and “My You.”
