V of the Korean supergroup BTS is finally releasing his first solo album next month!
BigHit Music, the group's record label, surprised fans with the album announcement on Weverse on Tuesday.
The vocalist's upcoming album, "Layover", will feature six tracks, one of which is a bonus track, and is set to be released on September 8, Friday.
“V will showcase amazing new performances and make various appearances alongside the album's release. Please stay tuned and continue to support V as he embarks on his new solo journey,” BigHit said.
The official track list for the album was also revealed in the announcement.
V's voice in the first track, “Rainy Days,” is said to meld “beautifully with the sound of rain and everyday white noises, tugging at the listeners' heartstrings.”
“Blue,” meanwhile, is an “homage to old school R&B with a modern twist.”
Also an R&B track, “Love Me Again,” is said to highlight V's signature baritone voice.
The fourth track, which is the '70s romantic soul style “Slow Dancing,” has a “laid-back and free-spirited feeling.”
“For You” is a “pop R&B track that leaves a lasting impression of the entire album” and will serve as the epilogue of the album.
All five tracks will have music videos, according to BigHit.
BigHit also published a short teaser video, which featured the package-themed album.
