Filipino music royalties Kyla and Jay R are set to perform their comeback concert on the big stage next month.
The Queen and King of Pinoy R&B's highly-anticipated reunion concert titled “Back In Time: Kyla and Jay R The Reunion Concert” will happen this September 2 at the New Frontier Theatre in Cubao, Quezon City.

In a press conference held in Taguig City, Jay R revealed what made him say yes to the concert.
“I think it's super self-explanatory na for me to say yes to the concert. I'm a big fan of Kyla and Kyla and I have been friends for 20 years na and singing together for that long.
“It was easy for me to say yes. Even before the question was done, I was saying yes already. They were like 'Do you want to do a show?' and I'm like 'Yes, go, game. Let's go,'” he said.
When asked about what he missed the most about his fellow artist, the multi-awarded R&B star said that it was Kyla's singing voice.
“It's her voice on stage. When she's singing, iba na e. When Kyla's singing, she puts you in a trance and I miss that. Back in SOP days every Sunday, nakikita ko 'yan lagi. All the time she would get on stage and then I would be at the side just watching her in a trance. I miss those days. It's nostalgia for me,” he shared.
Aside from this, the OPM singer revealed his preparations for his upcoming concert with Kyla.
“Most definitely, vocal exercises and memorizing a bunch of songs. So it's like a lot of reading lyrics and siyempre exercise rin kasama kasi you have to have endurance when you're on stage,” he said.
The “Bakit Pa Ba” hitmaker added, “One thing naman is to do dance rehearsals. I'm still trying to convince Kyla to dance with me, but that's one preparation that we want to do is to touch up on our dancing skills. Medyo matagal na kaming hindi sumasayaw, e. But for sure, it's vocalizing and memorizing the lyrics talaga.”
