Here's a treat for ARMYs!

Jungkook of BTS was announced as a headliner for the upcoming Global Citizen Festival happening later this month in New York City (NYC).

Global Citizen shared the news on their official Twitter account on Wednesday.

“New headliner just dropped. The global pop star Jung Kook is joining us at #GlobalCitizenFestival!” the tweet read.

The annual music festival is part of the movement's efforts to call for urgent action to end extreme poverty.

The main vocalist will be performing alongside previously announced artists, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Anitta, Conan Gray, Stray Kids, D-Nice, and Sofia Carson.

This year, the Global Citizen Festival NYC is set to take place on September 23, Saturday, at 4 p.m. ET, which is September 24, Sunday, at 4 a.m. (Manila time).

BTS was also part of the Global Citizen Live in 2021, where they performed from Seoul.

Meanwhile, Jungkook released his record-breaking solo song, “Seven,” in July.

Jungkook is also the voice behind the official 2022 FIFA World Cup song, “Dreamers” and collaborated with Charlie Puth for “Left and Right.”
