Miss International 2005 Lara Quigaman wanted to boost the morale and confidence of our Pinay beauty queen Nicole Borromeo, who is set to compete in Miss International in October.

The prestigious pageant will be held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on October 26.

Lara took to Instagram to voice out her support for Nicole and even shared what they talked about when they met at an event.

She recalled, “She first won my heart in the Bb Pilipinas 2022 National Costume. Her smile was so powerful, it drew me and the audience to her. I know that same smile is going to capture the International stage @nicole.borromeo you once asked me at an event but I can't remember your exact words, but it was something like this: 'what happens after the competition? What's my life going to be like after all this?'

“Again I cannot remember what my answer was- but let me tell you this now: You are destined for something great.. after all of this (after becoming Miss International) Life doesn't stop. You will always be a queen, and you will always shine and empower everyone you meet!” Lara said.

“Sorry I missed your send off, but I will be cheering and praying for you. Rooting for you all the way”

Nicole also responded to Lara's kind words in the comment section. She said, “Knowing that you'll be cheering and praying for me fills me with such pride!!

“Thank you for being a bright epitome of grace, empowerment, and beauty. Your assurance gives me strength. I'm so honored queen Lara.”

Lara tied the knot with actor Marco Alcaraz in an intimate wedding at Hacienda Isabella in Indang, Cavite in July 2012. They have three children Noah, Tobias, and Moses Marc.
