Nicole Borromeo

Nicole Borromeo is looking to bring yet another pageant crown to the Philippines.

It's just a little over two weeks until the Miss International pageant crowns a new queen in Japan, and the country's representative, Binibining Pilipinas International Nicole Borromeo, is about to start her journey to win the country's seventh Miss International crown.

The more recent posts on the Binibining Pilipinas official Instagram account show Nicole at the airport as well as on the plane as she flies off to Japan to compete in the Miss International pageant. The pageant's coronation night is set to happen on October 26 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo.

Nicole already had a send-off party organized for her on the 27th of September at the Gateway Mall 2 Quantum Skyview. The party was also streamed live on the Binibining Pilipinas official YouTube channel.

Aside from organizing the send-off party, the Binibining Pilipinas organization is also throwing its support behind Nicole's campaign by mobilizing Filipino pageant fans. A few days ago, the organization asked for votes on their official Instagram account, calling on pageant fans to show their support for Nicole by downloading the Miss International app and voting for her there.

Nicole is looking to bring home the country's seventh Miss International crown. The country has been winning the Miss International since 1964 starting with Gemma Cruz. The most recent Philippine winner was Kylie Versoza, who won the crown in 2016.

Nicole is also looking to surpass the performance of Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold, who made it all the way to the Top 15 of the Miss International pageant.

Just like Nicole, Hannah had the full support of the country behind her, with two send-offs organized for her before her flight to Japan. The Department of Science and Technology organized a send-off for her that she called “beautiful and heartwarming” and moved her to promise that she would raise the flag not only of the country but science and technology as well.
