Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz

Rayver said.

In a recent Sparkle Exclusive video, Kapuso couple Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose looked back on their trip in Israel for the "Luv Trip Na, Laff Trip Pa" show in Tel Aviv on October 7. The show was canceled amid the Israel-Hamas war.

On October 3, All-Out Sundays stars Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose along with comedian Boobay left for Israel to do a concert for fellow Filipinos. A few days later, they woke up to the chilling sound of the air raid siren in Tel Aviv. It was their first time to visit the country and they were looking forward to their show.

Especially 'yung iba sa kanila over 20 years nang nandoon."

It was a very sacred experience, [nakita namin] 'yung mga nakikita lang namin sa history books."

They recounted the moment they found out the ongoing bombing due to the Israel-Hamas dispute. Julie said she was woken up by a Sparkle staff because they had to evacuate.

Likewise, Julie said, "Same goes with me, sa lahat ng bagay, siya talaga 'yung takbuhan ko aside from my family and the Lord.

CBS News reported that "At least 260 people were killed when Hamas militants attacked thousands of people in a music festival in the Negev Desert,"

Rayver shared they thought of attending the music festival as it was recommended by some of their acquaintances. "Nakakakilabot kasi what if curious kami or isa sa'min mangulit?

Thankfully, they were able to escape the chaos and return home safely. Julie said, "For some reason that day, sobrang smooth-sailing lahat.

Kailangan composed ka pero at the same time nakakapraning. Kahit sa pag angat pa ng plane natakot pa ako kasi what if doon pa 'yung timing.

He added, "Apektado kami, iniisip namin buti kami nakaalis, pero paano 'yung mga naiwan doon. Mga kababayan man natin o hindi, paano sila doon? Especially 'yung mga caregivers natin, talagang bayani talaga sila."

Julie sympathized with all the civilians affected by the war. "Mahirap for us kasi ilang araw din kaming nandoon at magkakasama kami, napamahal na kami sa lugar pero siyempre sa mga nakasama rin naming tao doon. We really feel for the people there na involved sa conflict.

Rayver concluded, "Panginoon lang talaga nakakaalam, mahirap ang sitwasyon, only He knows. We love you guys, and iniisip namin kayo palagi at pinagdarasal namin kayong lahat. Sana matapos na ang lahat ng gulo."
