Singer-songwriter JC Regino dropped his newest single, a love song titled “Tama na Sa'kin Ikaw,” when he performed on Spotlight Music Sessions on October 27.

During his guesting on the GMA online music channel Spotlight Music Sessions, JC revealed that the song was actually written by his uncles and members of the April Boys duo Vingo and Jimmy Regino.

He revealed that after they sang his original composition, “Idolo,” JC and his uncles had a talk. JC shared that the moment he heard the song, he was already smitten by it.

“Nagandahan po talaga ako sa kantang 'to kasi sabi ko sobrang simple nung kanta, pero andun 'yung meaning kaya 'pag narinig mo, kuha mo agad 'yung mensahe ng kanta,” he explained.

He added, “Atsaka nakakakilig, puwedeng mga panligaw niyo sa mga mahal niyo, sa mga crush niyo, tapos puwede ring kanta niyo sa mga talagang kasama niyo na sa buhay, kunyari mga asawa, boyfriend niyo, girlfriend, ganun.”

According to the young singer-songwriter, the title of the song means “you are enough.”

“Isa po itong love song, parang mga tatak ulit ng mga awitin ng mga dad and April Boys,” he said.

Like his first single, “Tama na Sa'kin Ikaw” was released under GMA Music.

JC is the son of the late OPM icon and hitmaker “Idol” April Boy Regino.
