Taylor Swift officially dropped her version of her album 1989 on Friday, October 27, the same date it was released nine years ago.
The award-winning singer-songwriter marked the release of 1989 (Taylor's Version) with a heartfelt handwritten letter posted on her Instagram.
"I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic you would sprinkle on my life for so long," Taylor wrote.
She highlighted how the moment is a "reflection of the woods we've wandered through and all this love between us still glowing in the darkest dark."
Taylor concluded her letter with a sweet note of, "I present to you, with gratitude and wild wonder, my version of 1989. It's been waiting for you."
Taylor's version of 1989 featured a total of 21 tracks, including five from the vault songs namely "Say Don't Go," "Now That We Don't Talk," "Suburban Legends," "Is It Over Now?" and "Slut!"
First released in 2014, 1989 introduced the hit songs, "Blank Space," "Shake It Off," "Bad Blood," "Wildest Dreams," and "Style," among others.
In an earlier post, Taylor said the album "changed my life in countless ways."
