For its continuing efforts to provide the most accurate and updated information and entertainment across multiple online platforms, leading broadcast company GMA Network was awarded as Tech Media of the Year at the Digital Bayanihan Awards on November 21, 2023.

The award by Digital Pilipinas, through the Voice of Digital Pilipinas, lauds the efforts of changemakers and visionaries who help shape the digital future of the Philippines.

GMA's win as Tech Media of the Year is a recognition of its innovative and trailblazing steps to bolster the wide use of the latest technologies available that contribute significantly to the nation's digital future.

Accepting the award for GMA was GMA International (GMAI) First Vice President and Head of Operations Mr. Joseph T. Francia. In a speech, he spoke of the challenges faced by digital media, notably piracy, and also expressed the Kapuso Network's appreciation for the award.

“We are grateful for this recognition as we use our platforms and work with our partners to unlock the potential of digital technologies to enable and empower Pinoys here and abroad,” he said. “GMA's mission is to enrich the lives of our Kapuso everywhere.”
