PENTAGON KINO

PENTAGON's KINO's new single "Fashion Style" is finally out!

PENTAGON member and multi-talented artist KINO has dropped his first all-English single "Fashion Style," along with a POV (Point of View) video. This is KINO's first release under his own music label, NAKED.

In an email interview with GMANetwork.com, KINO shared his inspiration for "Fashion Style" and the empowering message he wants to convey through this song.

According to the K-pop idol, he was inspired by the British model Kate Moss. He said, "Inspiration comes in different shapes and forms. This time around, it was Kate Moss, the supermodel. The confidence she projects with her eyes is more than the wardrobe she wears."

Through this song, KINO wants the listeners to have confidence and love themselves.

"I [have] always believed that all the people in the world, [regardless of] gender, size, or [appearance], looks beautiful when they are 'they'; no pretending needed. I was able to project my belief in this song because her attitude matched that.

"The message I want to get across with my new single “Fashion Style” is very clear, 'Don't try to be someone else, you are beautiful in your own skin.'"

KINO envisioned "Fashion Style" with a POV video concept rather than a music video since he wants the viewers to become the primary character of the song.

"We wanted the listeners or viewers to become [the] main character of the song and feel the excitement of them on their way to see the person in the song they fell in love with. It's a [easy-to-watch] video, so I hope you guys enjoy it!"

KINO (real name, Kang Hyung-gu) is known as a member of K-pop boy band PENTAGON, which debuted in 2016 under Cube Entertainment.
