“There's a time to speak and there's a time to shut up.”

Ito ang naging pahayag ni Boy Abunda sa GMANetwork.com nang hingan siya ng reaksyon tungkol sa naging joint statement nina Bea Alonzo at Dominic Roque hinggil sa kanilang breakup.

Matatandaan na sa episode ng Fast Talk with Boy Abunda noong February 6, kinumpirma ni Boy na hiwalay na nga sina Bea at Dominic at wala nang mangyayaring kasalan.

Matapos ang naging kumpirmasyon, mabilis na nag-trending sina Bea at Dominic sa social media at naging laman ng showbiz news.

Kasunod nito, may makahulugang post naman si Dominic sa kaniyang Facebook account noong February 8 kung saan makikita na ini-repost niya ang video nila noon ni Bea na may caption na, “Bea's a beautiful person inside n out… No hate/bashing/negative things please…”

Ilang araw matapos ito, binasag na nina Bea at Dominic ang mga espekulasyon nang magbigay sila ng joint statment Instagram.

“After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement. It was not an easy decision. We wanted to have more time to carefully deliberate and pray about it, but there have been many speculations, questions, and insults.

“Unfortunately, some even confirmed our break-up without our consent, and some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false, so we felt the need to share this announcement with great sadness, for our peace of mind and our families.

“Please understand that this is an extremely painful yet united decision, and we sincerely request for everyone to kindly spare us from more cruel and very hurtful words thrown on social media.

“We kindly request to give us the privacy we need as we navigate our future lives with respect, kindness, compassion, and dignity.

“Thank you for your understanding and support,” saad sa naturang post.

Ngayong Lunes, February 12, ginanap ang contract renewal signing ni Boy sa GMA. Dito ay nagpaunlak ng interview ang King of Talk.

Kaugnay nito, tinanong ng GMANetwork.com si Boy kung ano ang masasabi niya sa naging statement nina Bea at Dominic partikular na sa parteng, “Unfortunately, some even confirmed our break-up without our consent…”

Sagot dito ni Boy, “Ganito ang posisyon ko. I promised myself and I promise my concerned friends and good sources that for now I'm not going to comment.”

Paliwanag niya, “There's so much pain that's being experienced by the parties involved and even pain deserves respect.”

Paglilinaw naman ng TV host, magsasalita siya sa tamang panahon pero hindi muna ngayon.

Aniya, “But is it tantamount that I'm not going to make a comment? No. But there's a time to speak and there's a time to shut up. Right at this moment, I'm choosing to shut up. But not for long.”
