
V of the global group BTS surprised their fans with the news of his brand new digital single, “FRI(END)S,” set to be released this month.
The group's record label, BigHit Music, shared the announcement in a post on Weverse.
“We are excited to announce the release of BTS member V's digital single, FRI(END)S,” it said.
According to BigHit, the upcoming song by the vocalist is a love song in the pop soul R&B genre.
“FRI(END)S” will be released on March 15, Friday, at 1 p.m. KST (12 p.m. in Manila).
“Thank you for your continued love and support for BTS,” the announcement concluded.
V released his first solo album, Layover, in September 2023, which featured the songs “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” and “For Us.”
V, along with the rest of the members of BTS, are currently fulfilling their mandatory military services.
BTS is set to reconvene in 2025.
