
Kapuso child star Euwenn Mikaell added another award under his belt for his role in Firefly, GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs' entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival. The film also won the Best Picture award in the said festival.
Euwenn won the Best Young Actor award for Firefly at the 2024 Paragon Film Lokal Choice Awards. He was also awarded the Best Child Performer at the Metro Manila Film Festival and Child Star of the Year at the 2024 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards.
Euwenn bested fellow young actors James Mavie Extrella for In My Mother's Skin, Jordan Lim for Rewind, Jewel Milag for Ang Mga Kaibigan Ni Mama Susan, and Althea Ruedas for Instant Daddy.
In the comment section, Euwenn thanked everyone for this new award he received.
He wrote, "Maraming salamat po."
Euwenn is set to mark his first television lead role in Forever Young, where he will portray Rambo, a 25-year-old man who looks like a 10-year-old boy because of a rare medical condition called panhypopituitarism.
Under the direction of Gil Tejada, Jr. and Renchie Del Carmen, joining Euwenn in Forever Young are Nadine Samonte, Alfred Vargas, Michael De Mesa, Eula Valdes, Rafael Rosell, Althea Ablan, Pricness Aliyah, Bryce Eusebio, Lucho Ayala, and Anjo Damiles.
Forever Young will air soon on GMA Afternoon Prime while Firefly will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting April 30.
