The new batch of queens is hoping to succeed current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee.
Mark your calendars, beauty pageant aficionados! The Miss Universe Philippines organization has just announced the coronation night for the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
In one of the more recent posts on its Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization has announced that the coronation night for this year's Miss Universe Philippines pageant will be held on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets will go on sale starting on April 8, Monday next week.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization has been introducing this year's delegates to the public through its Instagram account, sharing their official headshots as well as the candidates in their swimsuits.
The more than 50 candidates are hoping to succeed the current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee, who surprised the delegates during their contract signing with an appearance. On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines organization described Michelle's visit as “really special”.
Michelle has previously shared that she has no problem coaching whoever her successor may be.
Speaking to Lhar Santiago at the announcement of her brand ambassadorship role for China Bank, Michelle said that she plans to help the queens the same way those who came before her helped her.
“Of course, you always pay it forward. Just like every queen who has passed the crown to me, I plan to be just as much of a help to the next queen as well,” she said.
Michelle has also expressed her excitement with this year's batch of delegates and what they can bring to the pageant.
“This year is going to be a very exciting batch. We have a lot of strong contenders this year, a lot of amazing delegates, a lot of amazing municipalities with great representation,” she shared. “I honestly wish all of them the best. I know that they're all going to give the A-game and I'm very excited for what's to come.”
Michelle had also attended the Miss Universe Philippines presentation of delegates earlier this month with a Louis Vuitton Side Trunk PM with her.
