Kiara Dario to Garrett Bolden: "What a voice"
Garrett Bolden shared that he was thrilled when the cast of Miss Saigon visited the run-through rehearsals of Rent The Musical.
In 2022, Garrett played the role of John Thomas in Miss Saigon Guam, and this year, he will be part of Jonathan Larson's Rent at the RCBC Plaza Theater. Garrett will play the role of Tom Collins, with fellow Kapuso singers Anthony Rosaldo as Roger Davis and Thea Astley as Mimi Marquez.
In an Instagram post, Garrett shared what happened during the run-through rehearsal of Rent. He wrote, "No day but today," because "this is the hour" RENT X MISS SAIGON. "My heart is full! We get to do a run-through rehearsal for the cast of Miss Saigon."
Garrett added that he had a full-circle moment, remembering his run as John Thomas during Miss Saigon Guam. "I can't wait to see your show here in Manila."
Kiara Dario posted on X that she was in awe of Garrett's performance. Kiara is playing the role of Gigi Van Tranh in the Manila staging of Miss Saigon.

9 Works Theatrical's staging of Rent will run from April 19 to June 1, 2024, at the RCBC Theater Plaza.
