Kiray Celis was one of the Kapuso stars who received recognition at an international film festival.
As seen on Sparkle GMA Artist Center's Instagram post, the My Guardian Alien star was awarded Best Versatile Comedienne at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Nagoya, Japan.
Kiray was given the award for her performance in the film Malditas in Maldives, which also stars Arci Munoz and Janelle Tee.
In her speech, the Kapuso actress-comedienne was full of gratitude and she dedicated her award to all the artists who were part of the films included in the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival.
Thank you, Malditas and Maldives. Miss Jan, I love you. Direk, ikaw lang 'to, para sa 'yo 'to. Thank you so much po.”
The 28-year-old star also gave a sweet shoutout for her longtime boyfriend, Stephan Estopia, and her family during her speech.
“And sa boyfriend ko na laging nagsusuporta sa akin, sa pamilya ko, mama, para sa 'yo,” she said.
Kiray currently stars as Marites in the family series My Guardian Alien, which airs every Monday to Friday at 8:50 p.m. on GMA, Pinoy Hits, and Kapuso Stream. The show can also be watched on GTV at 10:30 p.m.
