
UP SAMASKOM's Live AIDS is back in the theater for five shows due to popular demand.
The title, Live AIDS, was inspired by "Live Aid," the fundraising concert for those affected by the Ethiopian famine.
Live AIDS stands for (Ang Istoryang Dinebelop ng SAMASKOM) or Acts, Improvisations, Dances and Songs, is a musical-comedy series created by UP SAMASKOM.
It is UP's longest-running musical variety show utilizing entertainment to communicate social and political statements.
Live AIDS had its previous theatrical run back in 2019, and staging venues on all performances.
Its past stage plays featured satirical skits about the country's socio-political landscape, including impersonations of prominent public personalities.
Live AIDS is also known for its comedic social commentaries and depiction of today's viral content. It aims to raise awareness of the country's current issues.
Now in its 34th year, Live AIDS is celebrating by bringing more laughter and joy in its latest restaging.
Catch its return to the UP stage this July 5-7, 2024 at KAL Theatre, Roces St., UP Diliman.
