LANY's Paul Klein revealed that he recently got into a vehicular accident and announced the postponement of the band's upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand for his fast recovery.
The vocalist took to social media to share some details on what happened during the unfortunate event.
“On Thursday night of last week, I got hit by a car while I was on my vespa heading home from the gym. I don't really remember anything after the collision… I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance. I've cried a lot of thankful and happy tears during the last few days. I know how fortunate I am to still be here,” he wrote in his post.
Paul then revealed that his vitals are good, but “walking and moving around is still a challenge.” The singer also said that he is “progressively getting better” and will be back real soon.
He went on, “The doctors have advised we reschedule our upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand to fast track my recovery. For those of you that have purchased a ticket for AUS/NZ, hold onto them and the new dates will be released shortly.”
Paul also expressed his gratitude to his fans for understanding and said that this experience “intensified the feelings of purpose I have.”
He continued, “I can't wait to heal up and get back to it. All other tour dates are staying the same. I love you and this life deeply! See [you] soon.”
LANY is set to return to the Philippines in October for their shows in Manila and Cebu.
In 2022, LANY was in the Philippines for a five-day concert.
