Jimin of the global group BTS surprised their fans and followers with the news of his upcoming sophomore album, MUSE.
The group's record label, BigHit Music, announced the vocalist-dancer's comeback on Weverse late Monday.
“We are excited to share details about the release of BTS member Jimin's second solo album, 'MUSE.'”
Set to be released on July 19, Jimin's second album will feature seven tracks, including the fan song, “Closer Than This,” which he dropped in December last year.
According to BigHit, MUSE will document Jimin's “journey in search of the source of his inspiration.”
A mysterious 27-second teaser was also posted along with the announcement, where Jimin can be seen getting a musical sheet from a purple locker.

MUSE will be released on July 19, Friday, at 1 p.m. KST (12 p.m. in Manila).
Jimin, along with RM, SUGA, J-hope, V, and Jungkook, are currently fulfilling their mandatory military services. The group is set to reconvene in 2025.
Meanwhile, BTS reunited for Jin's military discharge last June 12.
