Sparkle World Tour grand media conference


Sparkle Artist Center presents its star-studded roster for its Sparkle World Tour in a grand media conference.

Sparkle stars Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Ken Chan, Jillian Ward, Betong, Boobay, Ms. Aiai Delas Alas, Isko Moreno, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, and Alden Richards are all set and excited to bring joy to Kapuso fans abroad in their upcoming Sparkle World Tour in the US, Japan, and Canada.

On Thursday (June 27), Sparkle GMA Artist Center gathered the Entertainment press and special guests to celebrate the official launch of their second leg of the anticipated world tour in a grand media conference.

The stars in the lineup expressed their excitement, especially those who will be visiting the countries and cities of the tour for the first time. They also shared that they're looking forward to creating new memories together and with their fans abroad.

Abot-Kamay na Pangarap stars Jillian Ward and Ken Chan shared their excitement as this will be their first time in the city of Tokyo.

Ken happily said, "Kasi hindi pa ako nakakapunta ng Tokyo, eh. This is my first time I 'll be in Tokyo and I'm really looking forward na pasayahin ang mga global Pinoys doon sa Tokyo at mapuntahan din yung mga sikat na lugar doon."

Jillian added, "First time ko po sa Tokyo and nagulat po ako na parte po ako ng Sparkle tour na 'to kasi syempre po magagaling ang mga kasama ko po. (And) ako po 'yung pinaka bunso so na-e-excite po ako kasi feeling ko ang dami kong matututunan."

Real-life couple Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid both look forward to the Japan event as well. Besides that it's their first time performing in the country, the place is actually special for them.

"Japan was actually the first country that Ruru and I traveled to. So I look foward to going back there with him, of course, and maybe revisit 'yung mga ibang spots na napuntahan namin," Bianca said.

Jullie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz revealed that fans can look forward to their performances as the Asia's Limitless Star personally chose the songs they will be performing in the concert tour.

"For me, it's really important that we're hands-on doon sa mismong repertoire o 'yung mga songs na kakantahin namin. Ako, personally, I chose 'yung mga talagang malalapit sa puso ko, especially napaka-init kasi ng pagtanggap sa atin ng mga Global Pinoys saan mang lupalop ng mundo. So ako sobrang excited talaga ako whenever I perform for our fellow kababayans abroad, kasi gusto ko na nadadala ko 'yung Pilipinas sa kanila," Julie Anne explained.

For Isko Moreno and Alden Richards, they're also looking forward to their Sparkle tours in the US and Canada. Alden even applauded Sparkle for giving them the chance to hold the media conference in the country.

"Nakakatuwa kasi parang since I started with GMA mga 13 years old, this is parang the first time na nagkaroon ng media conference for show here in the Philippines bago lumipad. Kasi usually media conference nasa abroad na, eh. So I think, Sparkle is really doing it's due diligence when it comes to shows like this," Alden said.

Lastly, host of the "Sparkle Goes to Japan" event, Betong Sumaya, expressed his delight for being part of the much awaited event. The comedian even remembered the feeling of bringing joy to the Filipinos abroad.

He said, "Iba kasi talaga 'yung feeling na narinig ng mga Global Pinoys, mga Kapuso natin, 'yung mga kanta na siguradong hit na hit sa kanila. Pag narinig nila, ang saya, iba 'yung ngiti nila, iba 'yung tuwa nila tapos parang you're bringing them sa Pilipinas, lalo na sa mga matatagal na hindi na-uuwi."

Lastly, host of the "Sparkle Goes to Japan" event, Betong Sumaya, expressed his gratitude and delight for being given the chance to be part of the much awaited event.

Certain GMA and Sparkle officials graced the conference as well, including GMA Network's Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Legal, Human Resources Development, and Worldwide Group Atty. Annette M. Gozon-Valdes; Sparkle Vice President and Head Ms. Joy Marcelo; and GMA Pinoy TV's First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph T. Francia.

The Sparkle World Tour will be held in August and September, starting with the event in the US on August 9 and 10. The Sparkle stars who will be part of th US tour are Alden Richards, AiAi Delas Alas, Isko Moreno, Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, and Boobay.

Alden Richards and Boobay will also meet Kapuso fans in Canada on August 11 and 17.

The tour will then move to Japan on September 1, with Sparkle artists Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Ken Chan, Jillian Ward, Betong Sumaya, Bianca Umali, and Ruru Madrid, with the special guest Ms. Divine Daldal.
