Ruru Madrid and Dennis Trillo

Ruru Madrid joins Dennis Trillo in 'Green Bones,' GMA Pictures' official entry to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival this year.

Kapuso Action-Drama Prince Ruru Madrid is set to join Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in Green Bones, an official entry to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) produced by GMA Pictures.

The announcement was made through a post on Instagram by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs.

"Handog ng GMA Pictures at GMA Public Affairs ang espesyal na pagsasama ng dalawa sa pinakapremyadong aktor sa bansa sa pelikulang 'Green Bones,'" the caption read.

Green Bones was written by the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Screenplay awardee Anj Atienza and National Artist for Films and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee, under the direction of Zig Dulay.

Kapuso star Sofia Pablo is also part of the film.

Green Bones tells the story of a man, who is notorious for the grisly murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, a newly assigned prison guard takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars - no matter what it takes.

Green Bones will be part of the 50th edition of Metro Manila Film Festival in December 2024.
