Krishnah Gravidez

Miss World Philippines Krishnah Gravidez is looking out for the non-human victims of Typhoon Carina.

Current reigning Miss World Philippines Krishnah Gravidez is just a week into her reign but the newly-minted titleholder is already hard at work pushing for relief for the furry victims of Typhoon Carina.

Krishnah is tagged in one of the more recent posts on the Colors of Kindness Instagram account, along with the details of her banking account. The post is seeking donations to go towards relief efforts for the animal victims of the typhoon and the Southwest Monsoon. Aside from food, water, medicines, and dog and cat food, the post called for financial support to buy the supplies needed.

During the height of Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon, animal welfare groups called on Filipinos to include pets and animals in their evacuation plans. Since posting, both calls to action of the Animal Kingdom Foundation and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) have collectively gathered close to 45,000 shares.

Krishnah is just the latest beauty queen to either organize or boost relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Carina. Kapuso beauty queen and Philippine Red Cross ambassador Michelle Dee also posted on her official Instagram account boosting the efforts of the Philippine Red Cross as well as calling on her followers to do what they can to help “recover and rebuild”.

Both Krishnah and Michelle join the ranks of celebrities who are mobilizing to provide relief for the victims of Typhoon Carina. Pokwang has arranged a relief effort with help from a brand she endorses, while Sparkle artists Faith Da Silva, Jayson Gainza, Ashley Ortega, Shuvee Etrata, Olive May, Kim Perez, Elijah Alejo, Kirst Viray, Angel Leighton, and AZ Martinez helped with repackaging relief goods.
