Multi-national girl group KATSEYE has arrived in Manila to meet and connect with their Filipino fans! On September 17, the group kicked off their bustling schedule in the country with a media conference where they met with the local press.

All members expressed their excitement to be in the Philippines, especially their leader and HYBE's first Filipino artist, Sophia.

"It's such an honor to be standing here, my hometown, in front of all of you. It really is a dream come true and I cannot wait for us to come back, back and forth, here in the Philippines," Sophia said.

Megan also shared her enthusiasm, "It's been so, so, so, so cool, and already we're receiving so much love already. So thank you guys so, so much."

As this marked Sophia's return to the Philippines after three years, her family prepared a feast for the group, including many of the Filipina artist's food cravings like sinigang, adobo, balut, strawberry taho, halo-halo, and lechon.

"We're gonna come over and we're gonna eat Filipino food. My mom prepared like a whole feast for everybody. So I'm so excited," Sophia shared.

Sophia's mother, Filipina actress Carla Guevarra, also expressed her support for her daughter by attending the conference.

"So much pride for my daughter because she's representing the Philippines. Every single day I cried," Carla said in an interview with GMA Integrated News.

In addition to the conference, KATSEYE will bring joy in several events such as their "Touchdown in Manila" official fan showcase in Taguig City. They also joined the fun in the noontime program, It's Showtime.

KATSEYE was formed through the survival reality show The Debut: Dream Academy, managed by Geffen Records and K-pop label HYBE. They debuted on June 28, 2024, with their single “Debut” and have quickly gained global popularity with their latest release, "Touch."

The six-member girl group is composed of Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae. Their diverse lineup, featuring members from the United States, Switzerland, Korea, and the Philippines, adds to their captivating appeal.
