Filipino-American singer Sofronio Vasquez is the newest Pinoy Pride after his four-chair turner performance on 'The Voice US.'

Pinoys all over the world could not be prouder of Filipino-American singer Sofronio Vasquez after he made all four The Voice US edition coaches-Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani-turn their chairs and fight over him.

During the first blind auditions, Sofronio wowed the coaches with his rendition of Mary J. Blige's "I'm Goin' Down." In just a few lines, Snoop Dogg already pressed his button, signaling he wanted Sofronio on his team. Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire followed immediately, with Gwen Stefani pressing her button last.

Reba spoke first after Sofronio finished his auditions, saying she wasn't fast enough to press her button for the Filipino singer. She then commented on Sofronio's voice, comparing it to butter for how easy it is on the ears.

“Your voice is like butter, it is so easy on the ears but your soulfulness touched my heart. You've got the whole package,” Reba said.

She continued, “I won last year, so I kinda like to carry that victory on to this season and I think you could do it.”

Gwen, meanwhile, praised Sofronio by saying that it was a Grammy-level performance, adding “It felt like somebody who knows that God gave them the gift and they're just trying to get on this stage to show everybody.”

She added that one thing she could help the Filipino singer with is to find his music identity through the songs he will be singing on the show. Michael interjected that Sofronio is so good that he can sing the phonebook.

Gwen ended her pitch, “I want a piece of you, I wanna be inspired by you, so I would love to be your coach here on Team Gwen.”

Michael, on the other hand, thanked Sofronio in Tagalog for having a long-lasting relationship with the Philippines and his Filipino fans.

“Your people are such a beautiful people, I can't even imagine how proud you are going to make them. There's something that is so inherently beautiful about music for you. Dude, I got goosebumps, I'm emotional. I'm trying to swallow because I'm emotional,” Michael said.

The Canadian singer expressed how much he wanted to have Sofronio on his team, stating his belief that the Filipino singer would help him win the competition.

Snoop, meanwhile, noted while the other coaches have different genres, Sofronio has the same genre as his, which is soul.

“This here is soul. Your soul, your spirit, your coach, your step two. What to, what not to, how to get bigger, better. The teacher, the coach, the mentor, this is what you need to be, Team Snoop.” he said.

Michael then got the crowd to chant “Bublé, Bublé” before saying he and Sofronio would reach the top together.

In the end, Sofronio chose Michael Bublé to be his coach and start his The Voice journey.
