Matteo Guidicelli

Matteo Guidicelli reminded his followers not to pirate movies through a funny video.

Actor and entrepreneur Matteo Guidicelli has a timely reminder for his followers.

In a short but funny video, he warned people against pirating movies.

"Piracy movie nights: Libre ang pelikula, pero baka libre din ang entrance mo sa kulungan! 🍿🎬 #NoToPiracy," he wrote in the caption of his post.

The video shows Matteo in what looks like an interrogation room where a voice from a person off camera is asking him questions about streaming a movie which is only available in movie theaters.

Matteo tries to make excuses when the man reminds him that what he is doing is considered theft.

"In 2022, the Philippines lost 38.2 Billion Pesos due to the piracy of video content, specifically Filipino-made TV shows and movies," the video says.

In 2023, Matteo was tapped to be the Anti-Piracy Ambassador of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

As both an actor and a content creator, Matteo serves as a good example to youth in terms of protecting artistic creations such as music, movies, and other content.

Matteo recently organized a pet adoption and vaccination drive with his wife, singer and actress Sarah Geronimo.

He and Sarah have also been sharing photos and videos of their recent travels to Italy, Australia, and Scotland.
