
Spanish representative Francisco Zafra, a 21-year-old military member, was crowned the 16th Mister International on Sunday, November 10, at the Toledo City Megadome in Cebu.
This is a back-to-back win for Spain since Jose Antonio Calle won the same title during the 15th Mister International.
“I want to be a positive role model for the next generation,” said Zafra after being hailed as the winner.
He added, “I dedicate this victory to my fellow countrymen, friends, and supporters who have demonstrated their support. I'd also like to point out that male pageantry is about more than just your appearance; it's also about spreading your message and inspiring future generations,” he added.
Meanwhile, Estefano Balarin of Peru was awarded first runner up, Marvin Diamante of the Philippines came in second, Elias Silitonga of Indonesia came in third, and Zeng Xianyang of China finished fourth.
Held in Cebu City, the Mister International pageant focused on character, advocacy, and a desire to affect positive change by bringing together men from all over the world who are not only accomplished but also committed to community service.
Hosted by Kitt Cortez and directed by Lemuel Rosos, the 16th Mister International judges were Jennylyn de los Santos, Jinky Nagel Delos Santos, Girlie Fangki, Atty. Manuel Deldio, Jessica Suson, Rondel Omayan Paradero, Red Wiradinata, Atty. Regal Oliva, Haydee Ledesma, Cary Santiago, Doc Charlie Mendez, Wilma Laude Zamora, Austin Cabatana, and Teejay Marquez.
