Chelsea Manalo closed door interview at Miss Universe


Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo was excited to share her story with the pageant selection committee.

There's only five days left until the Miss Universe coronation night in Mexico, and Philippine representative Chelsea Manalo is feeling excited about sharing her story in the international pageant.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Chelsea Manalo posted a couple of photos of her in a Jot Losa ensemble, the same one that she wore for the Miss Universe pageant's closed-door interviews. In the caption to the post, Chelsea wrote “Story shared, heart full. Keeping it real every step of the way.”

The Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account also posted an Instagram Reel of Chelsea before the closed-door interviews, where she shared that she was “excited” to tell the Miss Universe selection committee about what it's like in the Philippines and “what they can work with”.

Chelsea Manalo's post comes after she received words of encouragement and support from former America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, who left comments on two of the photos she posted on social media.

Chelsea Manalo has been using her social media to honestly express her beauty pageant journey, such as when she celebrated her skin on her Instagram account, posting that her Miss Universe Philippines win is “more than a personal achievement--it's a celebration of diversity, resilience, and self-acceptance.”

Chelsea Manalo also wrote that the crown was also for the people who have felt “unseen, unheard, or underestimated” and how she wished to be a source of inspiration for those people and that they should keep pushing forward and have the strength “to break boundaries, to redefine beauty, and to inspire others along the way.”

Chelsea Manalo just recently achieved a social media milestone, reaching 300,000 followers on Instagram. At this writing, Chelsea has already amassed 336,000 Instagram followers.

Chelsea Manalo is currently in Mexico competing in the Miss Universe pageant and is hoping to bring the country's fifth Miss Universe crown. Before arriving in Mexico, she spent some time in Los Angeles training for the pageant. She also took time to connect with the Filipino-American community in Los Angeles while there.
