Philippine bet Chelsea Manalo was a sight to behold in her Miss Universe national costume that was inspired by the religions in the country.
Chelsea Manalo was an absolute stunner in her national costume during the Miss Universe preliminary competition.
The Philippine bet, who hails from Bulacan, paid homage to the country's religions in her overall look. She donned a gold dress with white sleeves crafted by Bulakenyo designer Manny Halasan.
Chelsea also wore a gold and silver headpiece and held two fans as she walked on stage. Her national costume also had a blue train with an image of the Our Lady of Antipolo, or the Our Lady of Good Voyage.
Various personalities and beauty queens couldn't help but be amazed by Chelsea's national costume.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reacted by saying, “Ang sarap mong panoorin. Good luck Chelsea, keep smiling, keep enjoying.”
“An absolute favourite WOW,” Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray added.
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee also commented, “GANDA.”
Aside from this, Chelsea was also clad in a bright blue two-piece and gold scarf during the swimsuit portion and a blue ball gown during the evening gown portion of the Miss Universe preliminary competition.
Chelsea Manalo will vie for the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe crown on the prestigious pageant's coronation night on November 16 (November 17, Philippine time) in Mexico.
