After a decade, the K-pop world is finally seeing the soloist side of Red Velvet's leader, Irene.
This Tuesday, November 26, Irene marked a milestone in her career and officially debuted as a soloist with the light and fun song “Like a Flower.”
This is part of her first mini-album with the same title.
Unsurprisingly, Irene's “Like a Flower” music video was very much like her stunning visuals and captivating looks.
She also showcased her versatile vocals and groovy dance moves backed by her experience of being a K-pop idol for a decade.
“Like a Flower” is a three-minute groovy and light K-pop song written by Barney Cox, Barns Noble, danke, Ejae, Elena Hoey, JC.Don, Joey Eighty, Lee Eun Wha, and Spoon.
It is joined by seven other tracks in her debut album.
This includes “Summer Rain,” “Calling Me Back,” “Strawberry Silhouette,” “Start Line,” and “Winter Wish.”
Fans are also loving Irene's two special tracks, “Ka-Ching” and “I Feel Pretty.”
Irene's newest music video and debut album are now available for streaming via online platforms.
Aside from her solo endeavors, Irene remains an active member of the phenomenal K-pop girl group Red Velvet together with her co-members Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri.
They recently flew to the Philippines and concluded their successful fan concert, “Happiness: My Dear, Reveluv” on September 14 at the Mall of Asia Arena, where they danced and sang with thousands of Filipino Reveluvs.
