GMA Artist Center talent Nicole Donesa is vying for the Miss World 2014 Philippines crown.
 
The 21-year-old has always wanted to become a beauty queen and thought that the best time to go for her dreams is now.
 
“It's always been a dream of mine to become a beauty queen. I thought that Miss World fits my personality because I really wanna help the world,” she said.
 
Nicole embodies Miss World Philippines’ thrust ‘beauty in giving’ as she is active in community service.
 
“I’m into charity work and [I participate in] foundations. [In fact, I’m active in a] foundation right now where we provide school supplies and we do a feeding program in Cavite. I thought of joining Miss World so I can help participate in more of these kinds of activities,” she shared.
 
GMA Artist Center also extended their well-wishes for Nicole’s journey to the coronation night.
 
“They’re very supportive. They were surprised ‘cause I didn’t tell anyone [but] when they found out, [they were excited for me],” she explained.
 
No matter how the results turn out, she’s confident that this experience will equip her for the future.
 
“Win or lose, I know that it will definitely open more doors for me. And it will also help me be more active in the things I would like to do which is doing charity work and rendering [community] service,” she added.
 
Among 26 beautiful women, standing out could be quite a challenge. What sets her apart though, she says, is her optimism.
 
“I’m a very positive person so I’m really happy all the time. I’m always smiling and I’m always thinking positive and always thinking of the brighter side of life,” she disclosed.
