"Golden best actor with a golden heart."
This is how talent manager Jan Enriquez described Green Bones actor Dennis Trillo after donating his cash prize for winning the Best Actor Award in the recently concluded 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) "Gabi ng Parangal."
According to Enriquez's post, the PhP100,000 cash prize will be donated to persons deprived of liberty (PDL) through Green Bones creator JC Rubio.
He also mentioned that it was Dennis's wife, Jennlyn Mercado, who suggested donating the money to PDL.
Enriquez related, "In case you are wondering, right after Dennis accepted his award ay may lumapit sakin na staff para iclaim na daw ang napanalunan 100k courtesy of sponsor Playtime. So ako na nagclaim on Dennis' behalf and inabot sa akin ito in cash [o di ba? Because why not]
When i say munti as in simple talaga minsan hiling lng nila bagong tshirt, shorts, sapatos, diapers para sa baby nila sa labas etc
"Thanks for your kindess Dennis! You truly embody our movie's main message JC Rubio."
Dennis Trillo's win is one of the six awards that Green Bones took home from the "MMFF 50 Gabi ng Parangal."
It also won Best Supporting Actor (Ruru Madrid), Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens).
