Maggie Wilson and Marc Nelson

Netizens, fans, are disappointed of Marc Nelson for testifying against Maggie Wilson

Former beauty queen Maggie Wilson revealed that her former friend and co-host, Marc Nelson, testified against her in favor of her former husband, Victor Consunji, to keep their son away from her.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Maggie announced how the Family Court denied the petition of Victor for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order under the Violence Against Women and their Children Act (VAWC) of 2004 against her.

The petition was filed to keep her away from their child, Connor.

Victor claimed in his petition that the posts made by Maggie on social media platforms caused emotional distress and psychological harm to their son, which Marc backed up in testimony in court.

“Despite several testimonies including the likes of Marc Nelson, who testified his knowledge on behalf of the petitioner Victor Consunji of how my son suffered emotional stress, anxiety, and annoyance due to me, were all denied by the family court of the Republic of the Philippines,” Maggie wrote in her post.

Maggie said that the court found no proof that she committed psychological violence against Connor, and affirmed her right to communicate with her son.

The court said that the social media posts only expressed the love and longing of a mother for her son who was separated from her.

“There was no credible evidence to support a finding that Respondent (Me) committed psychological violence against her son. There is no reason to prohibit the Respondent from communicating with her son (C). As a mother, the respondent has the right and duty to communicate with her son,” the excerpt from the court's statement said as posted by Maggie.

The court added, “Therefore, there is no reason to prohibit the Respondent from communicating with her son (C). As a mother, the respondent has the right and duty to communicate with her son.”

Maggie previously co-hosted a lifestyle show for The Metro Channel in 2018.

Meanwhile, outraged netizens flocked Marc's Instagram page expressing their disappointment of him.

One netizen said, “Imagine testifying in order for a mother and son to not be able to communicate with one another. There are some things in life that you do not mess with and this is one of them. Perhaps if you were a parent yourself, you would have understood better, why you do not cross certain boundaries.”

Another commenter noted that what Marc did was the “ultimate betrayal” especially since they worked together in a show.

“There's a special place in hell for people who decides to enable cheaters and choose to separate a loving parent from her son. I wonder how can you sleep at night knowing you've chosen to testify to such false claims,” another netizen commented.

As of writing, Marc has yet make any comments on what Maggie said about his testimony against her.
