Benedict Cua almost became a celebrity housemate!

Sparkle star and content creator Benedict Cua recently shared another fun and memorable moment on his YouTube channel, his audition for Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Collab Celebrity Edition.

In his latest vlog, Benedict gave fans a glimpse into his audition journey. He began the sneak peek by admitting that it was one of the most nerve-wracking experiences of his life.

"It was a very fun experience," he shared. "I have never been that nervous in my whole life."

To calm his nerves on the way to the audition venue, he even did a quick karaoke session in his car. He also shared snippets of his routine, including eating lunch in his car while talking about personal yet relatable moments.

Benedict revealed that he had always wanted to become a PBB housemate, even though he had hesitations.

"Matagal ko nang gusto maging housemate talaga. Syempre sinasabi ko lang sa inyo na ayoko kasi ang tagal sa loob ng bahay. Pero syempre sino ba naman ayaw?" he admitted.

The Sparkle star also weighed the challenges of joining the show, especially now that he is a father. "Kapag matagal ka sa bahay marami kang isa-sacrifice. Your time for work, for family, your opportunity loss while you're inside, 'di ba? Ang daming factors and now that I have a son. But naisip ko din para naman sa future din ito. Para rin may mas mapatunayan ako sa sarili ko," he said.

Benedict also expressed his desire to promote mental health awareness if he had entered the program.

Benedict didn't make it past the auditions but he took it positively, reflecting that perhaps it was for the best.

"I guess it's a blessing in disguise na rin na hindi ako nakapasok kasi napanood ko kahapon 'yung isang episode and sabi ko sa sarili ko: 'Kung nakapasok siguro ako doon baka sobrang ma-OP (out of place) ako.' Kasi puro GenZs kasi doon so parang, 'Hala! Pwede na ako nila maging ninong,' ganoon," he happily shared.

Although he didn't get in, Benedict remains supportive of his friends, including Mika Salamanca, who successfully joined Pinoy Big Brother. He ended his vlog on a hopeful note, saying he believes even bigger opportunities are coming his way this year.
