Previously, Josh became an internet sensation after he described himself as a "Golden Retriever Boy" which is used to characterize loyal and playful men on the dating show.
His introduction sparked criticism as netizens called out his behavior. He continues to draw mixed reactions online.
Recently, he released a statement, saying, "It's been 5 months since sumali ako sa show. I did not expect this to go viral multiple times over. Pero I will be addressing it now."
“Salamat sa mga nag-send ng supportive messages. Even those who gave constructive criticism na-appreciate ko," he said.
Josh also admitted that the discussions online took a toll on his mental health at first.
He explained, "I let myself spiral down because of my hurt ego. I did not take the rejections well, and add the fact na di ako sanay sa camera so I failed to compose myself."
