Weeks have passed since Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron's controversy shook the internet, yet new evidence continues to emerge.

On Thursday, March 27, attorney Boo Ji Suk from Law Firm Buyou held a press conference at Space Share, Gangnam Station in Seocho-dong, Seoul, representing the grieving family of the late actress.

The attorney issued the following statement:

"Recently, matters related to the private life of the late actress Kim Sae Ron have been exposed indiscriminately through the web almost daily, leading to countless speculations as well as criticism directed at the bereaved family. As a result, the family members are suffering from severe emotional and physical distress.

"The reason for today's press conference is to inform the public of the difficulties that the bereaved family members are currently enduring, and to request an end to the criticism against them. This is not an event intended to disclose the reason why the late Kim Sae Ron took her own life.

"The bereaved family initially had no choice but to reveal that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron since she was a minor. This was because the family had been preparing a lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who had not only spread false information about the late actress, but also belittled and ridiculed her, contributing significantly to her psychological distress.

"However, in response, Kim Soo Hyun initially denied ever dating her. Even after further evidence confirmed their relationship, he has not offered a single apology and is now making another false claim that they only dated after she became an adult. Additionally, for reasons unknown, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho and other involved parties have taken it upon themselves to expose matters related to Kim Sae Ron's private life, all the while adding false and baseless claims.

"The bereaved family wishes to put an end to this controversy by presenting clear and undeniable evidence. Let me be clear, this press conference is not intended to disclose the reason behind the late Kim Sae Ron's passing. Furthermore, after today's press conference, the bereaved family does not wish to engage in any further meaningless disputes over the truth. What Kim Sae Ron's family wishes first and foremost as of now is to pursue legal action against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho and to correct the lies and misinformation."

After the attorney's statement, the late actress' family released KakaoTalk messages allegedly sent between Sae-ron and Soo-hyun in June 2016.

Based on the screenshots, Soo-hyun sent messages to Sae-ron telling her that he "missed her" and wanted to "fall asleep with her" in his arms.

Meanwhile, Sae-ron tells Soo-hyun, "[You] never wake up." He answers, "Yes, I wouldn't know even if you kissed me" and “When can I fall asleep with you in my arms? I'll really get a good night's sleep then." The late actress answers, "I'll do it whenever I want."

After presenting the new evidence, the attorney asked, "If they weren't dating, then I would like to ask Kim Soo-hyun myself, what relationship they had. If [Kim Soo-hyun] keeps saying that he didn't date her as a minor, then did he sexually groom her? Do we need to take more measures?"

According to the attorney, the actor should apologize to the late actress's family regardless.

On March 10, the YouTube channel Hoverlab claimed that Soo-hyun had a six-year relationship with Sae-ron, starting when she was 15. Since then, Hoverlab has released photos and videos that allegedly document moments from their suspected relationship, continuing to generate buzz online.
